This Blog Needs an Ovary-Tuck

What better time to start (and let's be honest: stop, shortly hereafter) food-blogging again, than the season of gorging.

I'll be frying the Piper family turkey this year, so pics and quips to follow.  To whet your appetites in the interim, I give you the most satisfying breakfast bagel ever concocted:

TJ's Homemade Pierogies

You'll have to ask him for the recipe. They took like three hours to make and were amazing; I'll never eat boxed pierogies again (that's probably a lie.)

a Sunday of comfort food

poached eggs, greens, and fried potato slices for breakfast,
homemade baked mac n cheese (thanks, Martha) and zucchini chips for dinner. It is best if you stay in your pjs. Because it is Sunday, and because the mac will make your regular clothes too small to wear.

lemon tuna bowties with kale

Get:
-canned (quality) tuna, marinated in fresh lemon juice and a little bit of white wine vinegar
-bowtie pasta
-whatever veggies you want! I like peas and kale.

Then, mix and enjoy! Trust me, you will.

veggie tacos!

roast sliced peppers and onions and whatever else you want in the oven with some olive oil and a little sea salt. Put them on corn tortillas with black beans and cabbage and corn and whatever else you want. These are really good with some avocado. Top with shredded cheese and sour cream. I wish we would have put some corn in them, but oh well. Muy bien.
