Dinnertime!

Brussel sprouts (and parmesan-crusted chicken, but I really want to talk about the sprouts!)

for the Brussel sprouts: just heat some butter/olive oil in a large skillet on medium until frothy. Add some diced garlic and let it brown a bit. Slice the brussel sprouts lengthwise and toss them in. Cover and let steam until they are sufficiently moist and tender, then turn up the heat a bit, toss them around, and let them brown to your liking. Sprinkle plenty of pepper and sea-salt on top!

Ohhhhhh Minnesota, How I Love Thee Food...

Took a trip up to Minnesota to visit some friends and attend the Rock the Garden festival. Little did I know how AWESOMELY FABULOUS their food would be! It's like a dream world for any: food lover/healthy eater/vegetarian/vegan/etc. Of course, I took pictures.....

French Meadow Bakery : meals with "the highest quality fresh, local & organic ingredients"

They had a vast amount of delicious treats in their case that I would later consume...

Egg & Bacon Croissant: organic eggs, Swiss cheese, all natural bacon, fresh organic spinach, tomato, and guac on a grilled croissant served with organic mixed greens....that had the lightest, most delightful dressing! Oh, and the hashbrowns....BEST I've EVER had!

At Rock the Garden : foot long corn dog with fresh cut fries that I used as support as I ate. HA!

Seward Cafe : An all-organic breakfast and lunch joint that specializes in delicious vegan fare

My organic omelet with locally grown mushrooms and spinach, hashbrowns, sprouts, toast, and fresh organic oj

Chocolate chip gluten free pancakes (made with buckwheat). And yes, they were bigger than your head. And yes, they were the size of the large plate. And yes....they make you uncomfortably full afterward. Think of it as a personal goal when you finish the whole thing!

The Magical Bus Cafe....you can't miss it! It's the BRIGHTEST bus you'll ever see at the farmer's market

Then lastly, my delicious treats that I promised you that I would eventually consume. Well, I haven't yet. They are still in the fridge waiting for my mouth....and I have promised to share. One terrifically large yellow lavender cupcake (those aren't sprinkles!) and a slice of triple chocolate fudge cake. EAT YOUR HEATRS OUT BETCHES!
